Pledge of Allegiance to Self
The past 15 years, I have learned through my personal experiences that no matter who or what is happening around me - The most reliable and constant person that will be there is ME for myself until, I am no longer physically here - and coincidentally or purposefully enough - life, God, the universe, has now brought this pandemic that has placed us in isolation from others and we are brought to look at ourselves.
I have fear, I have anxiety, I have many insecurities - I am not perfect but I am human so that means I will never master fear, anxiety or my insecurities. But I can learn and adapt to live with them and work on myself daily when these feelings creep in. It is choosing to accept myself day to day, flaws an all whether others like or dislike, agree or disagree! Just as we pledge to our nation, country, faith, religion what ever else - we can also pledge to ourselves to show up and simply BE.
